Reviews

David Busch is a prolific author who has written about a multitude of cameras. This is one of his first books dedicated to a recent compact form of camera that is more robust than a shirt-pocket size point-and-shoot camera. This non-dSLR "bridge camera" often serves as a replacement for the more bulky dSLR because of its high quality imaging capabilities. I have this camera and am quite impressed with it. Since purchasing and reading David Busch's book, I am even more impressed with the camera. You will not need the user manual (supplied with the camera on a CD in .pdf format, instead of in print) if you have this book. Mr. Busch has used his professional expertise and hands on experience to give a greatly detailed examination of this excellent camera. He not only explains all the features and their functions, he includes many color illustrations and photos to assist with clarifying his written detail. He continues his award winning ways as an author writing about cameras and photography with this book. The "How to" explanations have given me enjoyable insights into the application of the many features and functions of this multi-featured gem of a camera. Whether beginner or advanced, this book is a must have for all who own the P7100. I'm sure you will appreciate the accumulated knowledge dispensed in copious quantity with vivid detail. Mr. Busch favors Nikon cameras over many other brands. I dare say that you will enjoy his treatment of the P7100 as being an important evolution by Nikon into the compact bridge camera arena.
