David Busch's Nikon D850 Guide to Digital SLR Photography (The David Busch Camera Guide Series) Details

From the Author Yes, it does have 544 pages!  As with virtually all books from traditional publishers, the 20 pages of introductory information are numbered separately from the 524 page of chapter text and index.  We've used a more efficient layout with smaller "menu" and "screenshot" illustrations, and eliminated a superfluous chapter on Photoshop/Lightroom to give us much more room to explore the more technical side of this great camera, including the innovative backside illuminated sensor, built-in focus stacking, and exciting new time-lapse and video features.  The Nikon D850 is the most versatile camera the company has ever offered, and I'm pleased to be able to help you learn how to use all its features.David Read more About the Author With more than two million books in print, David D. If you're familiar with Busch's books, this is yet another very good job, explaining the various features of the D850 and explaining them to you in better detail than available in the standard Nikon owner's manual. This is especially handy in the coverage of the various auto focus modes and in the explanation of the various options settings.However... it is clear that much of this book must have been cut and pasted from earlier versions, as whenever he discusses flash he talks about the D850's flip-up flash… and the D850 doesn't HAVE a flip-up flash. While that's not a deal breaker, it does make you wonder what other technical details may have just been brought forward from a version of the book for a different camera, and if the implementation details may have changed between that for the other camera and the D850.
